Today was the last day of class, not the last day of school, but the last day that Alison (and to a lesser extent Sarah) will officially have class this year. Technically, there are two more days, but tomorrow is the class field trip day for Alison (who is going to Great America) and Wednesday is only a half day to pick up yearbooks, and the graduation ceremony will be in the evening. Sarah only has to report for final exams, and since she took her AP ones already, she has short days today and tomorrow. I don't think she even needs to report on Wednesday, other than for graduation ceremony practice.
Alison ended up with 100's in both science and social studies, which means she will end up on the honor roll again. As stated previously, she was worried for a little bit because they are only allowed one "B" to be on the honor roll and she had B's going in math and language (math was actually a B+). But over the last month she worked her butt off and actually ended up pulling both grades up to a B+ in language and an A- in math. And she did very well on her final exams so she thinks they may even go up further. We are so proud of how she applied herself and closed out her 8th grade year. I hope she continues to do so when she gets to high school.
