The Floor Is In

The kitchen remodel is now going on four weeks since I have been able to do anything. Although when I say anything, I mean anything of substance. I was able to at least get the floor in, or most of it. There are still some things to finish, like the transitions into the family room and the den, and to put a cover over the edge of the top step. But it is in for the most part. Which means we should be ready for the appliances to get here at the end of the week. The floor actually went in pretty smoothly once I got a rhythm down. The hard part was having to custom cut the pieces to go into the corner and not have big gaps in the corners between the floor and the wall.
